Celebrating four years of happiness

Feliz Hotel Boracay has recently celebrated its fourth anniversary, packed with special performances, memorable memories, and good cheers.

BORACAY, AKLAN – When it opened its doors in 2019, Feliz Hotel Boracay’s aspiration was to be a good and relaxing hotel in the island’s heart. Committed to its core value of providing sustainable and happy experiences to its guests, colleagues, and shareholders, it recently celebrated its fourth anniversary by hosting numerous activities that brought cohesiveness to its staff and gave back to its community with two community services.

The two community services, the gift-giving at the Ati Village and the beach cleanup, were held on two separate occasions and made a memorable impact not only to the hotel staff but also to the recipients and the island itself.

La Plaza is decorated with the Great Gatsby theme for their fourth anniversary.

This year’s theme, “Four years of happiness,” revolves around the team’s resiliency over time despite the challenges brought by the island closure and the pandemic. The hotel staff mustered the strength to overcome the obstacles by maintaining the guiding principle of providing a happy experience to their respective clients and guests.

The hotel staff flaunted their “Great Gatsby” classy dresses and suits at the La Plaza dining. The program was graced by their respective leaders, who flew from Manila. Lead by Mr. Jun Bayno, AVP – Operations and Business Development of Elizalde Hotels and Resorts Inc., Chef Thomas Wenger – Senior Vice President of Enderun Hospitality, our Sales Manager, Ms. Therese Esplana, and their newest General Manager, Mr. Allan Chan.

Mr. Jun Bayno and Chef Thomas Wenger have both recalled the memorable times when the hotel had just started its operations and how it grew over four years, the people who made things happen, and the outpouring of support from the Elizalde Hotels and Resorts Incorporated.

GM Allan Chan, who was thrilled to join the anniversary event, was surprised to see the dedication, hard work, and happy attitude and atmosphere he felt upon his arrival and to witness the performances of each department.

Each department showcased their dance talents to the guests and diners of the hotel.

The highlight of the program was the dance performance of each department. Despite the short preparation time, each department showcased their dancing skills and was able to wow the guests and diners at La Plaza.

The Finance and Engineering department has been hailed as the winner of the departmental performance. The second prize went to the Front Office, and the third place went to the Culinary Department. Apart from the performances, the HR Department also acknowledged several employees positively impacted their respective departments and the entire property.

BEST IN COMMENDATION Awardees from Front Office Department were Chris Agnes and Danica Clemente. Also awarded were staff in the F&B Department were Mariel Taunan and Patrick Delgado.

The Best in Commendation Award has been presented to the following employees: Christopher Agnes and Danica Clemente of the Front Office Department, and Patrick Delgado and Mariel Taunan, both from the F&B Department. There have also been nominations for the Stay Happy Award and Employee of the Year.

The winner of Stay Happy Award was given to Mr. Emmanuel Delos Reyes from Engineering Department. He received a certificate and a breakfast buffet for two at La Plaza. While the Employee of the Year was awarded to Mr. Richard Lago, also from the Engineering Department. He received a certificate and an overnight stay for two with a breakfast buffet at the hotel.

The program was a night of remembering with a slideshow of photos of employees and hotel activities. A video presentation of Raymund Sta. Maria, the Ati team member sharing his day-to-day routine at the hotel, and more importantly, a surprised video greeting from Mr. Federico Joaquin Elizalde, VP for Operations of Sunshine Inns Incorporated.

The anniversary was celebrated in a positive vibe and was capped off with raffle prizes courtesy of the Human Resource Team while the Culinary department prepared the delightful snacks and meals.
