DECEMBER 1, 2023 – After a long preparation, Feliz Hotel Boracay finally unveiled their first ever Christmas Lighting Ceremony which they labeled “Opening of the Lights”. During the Executive Committee’s meeting, they were challenged by General Manager, Mr. Allan Chan, to flesh out the “Feliz” in the Christmas season.

After a series of deliberations, the team has finally procured decorations from various cities within the region and started putting up the ornaments last November 15, 2023.

It has been an exciting task for every department in Feliz Hotel since this will be the first lighting ceremony they have executed since the hotel started operating four years ago. It’s monumental since the hotel has been able to withstand the test of time including the Boracay closure and the pandemic.

The Opening of the Lights ceremony was held last December 1, 2023, and was packed with many Christmas activities which signal the start of the Yuletide season in the hotel. Elevating the ceremony’s opening, the Tribu Cagaycay did their tribal music beats that made waves and noise in D’Mall.

Fr. Justy More opened the ceremony with a solemn prayer, which served as a good reminder about the real reason for celebrating Christmas. Fr. More ended the prayer by blessing the Christmas tree in the fountain.

Finance Manager, Ms. Andrea Prado, opened the occasion with a very welcoming speech, filled with gratitude to the Management, the hotel staff, and the guests who have always patronized Feliz Hotel.

Mr. Allan Chan, the General Manager of Feliz Hotel, who steered the team in decorating and making Feliz Hotel their guests’ home this Christmas season did the wine toasting and has reiterated the collective effort of all the staff in making this event possible.

When La Plaza was fully lit up and brightened with the dazzling lights, the Balabag National High School Choir serenaded the guests and diners with their rendition of Christmas songs.

The Feliz Hotel staff also did a dance number that truly added a festive mood at La Plaza grounds, and to wrap it all up, the Ati Choir has also shared their angelic voices by singing Christmas songs, which adds more magic this Christmas season.

The success of the Opening of the Lights ceremony was possible with the solid support of the Feliz Hotel Management, Chef Thomas Wenger, Manila Broadcasting Company, and Feliz Hotel staff.
